Inzers Rebuild Home & Life

Corrine Inzer turned over and looked at the clock on her night stand. Just after 3:00 AM. What rotten luck to wake up hours before it was necessary. Looking around her bedroom, she realized that something was not right. It was far to bright outside for this hour of the morning. She slipped from her bed to investigate. Horror gripped her heart as she raised the blind to see an immense wall of flame just outside of her window.

Colby and Corrine, both suffering from minor burns and smoke inhalation were transported to a local hospital for treatment and observation. From the ambulance, Corrine telephoned Monte Bullock, their friend of three years. “Our house is burning down,” she cried. Monte rose from his bed and rushed to the Inzer home, where he kept vigil throughout the night, providing the Inzers with updates and much needed support. Corrine stated that “it was heartbreaking” to hear the reports and learn that their home was a total loss.

By morning, the Inzers were released from the hospital and began rebuilding their lives. “Through it all, Monte was a huge lifesaver.” Corrine stated. Colby added “Most of all, he was a very good friend”.

Why did they choose Monte and his crew to rebuild their home? “From a professional standpoint,” Colby stated, “there are no bones about him. He gets things done.” Monte proved to be all the Inzers had hoped for and more. He did an amazing job of cutting through red tape with the insurance company, city, and more. The rebuilding process was long and sometimes discouraging, but along the way he smoothed things out and was always, Colby stated, “down right honest”.

There were also personal reasons why Monte was the only choice for the Inzers. They all share a common love and belief in Jesus Christ. Monte takes that love a step further; that love influences the way he treats others. As the Inzers put it, “He has a huge love for people”.

As final touches were being completed on the home, the Inzer wedding anniversary arrived. Colby took his wife out of town for dinner and a night away from their cramped rental.

While the Inzers were out of town, Monte and his crew worked until 3:00 AM, not as contractors, but as friends. Monte, working in secret with Colby, had planned a special surprise for Corrine. The next morning, Monte called Colby and served up some lame excuse why the Inzers had to stop by their new home when they got back in town.

When they pulled into the driveway, Monte stepped out of the house and opened the car door for Corrine. “Welcome home, Sis” he said as he motioned her come inside. As Carine stepped through the front door of her new home, she burst into tears as her eyes took in what she knew was too good to be true. In the corner near the front window stood a beautiful new piano. New furniture was in place. Books were on the shelves. The kitchen was fully outfitted and ready to be used. Her new house was beautiful. Her new house was perfect. Her new house was her home.

When asked to sum their feelings up with a single word, the Inzers agree... “thankful!”.

A New Kitchen For Shelli

When Jim and Shelli Bardsly decided on a new kitchen for their Pocatello home, they set out to get bids from a variety of building contractors. Much to their surprise, only one contractor even responded to their request... Monte Bullock.
In the end, the Bardsly's chose Monte, not based on his submitted bid, but on his well established reputation of professionalism and quality work. Shelli indicated that even though his prices might be a bit high, his good reputation was so much higher that they chose him with equally high confidence.
Immediately after the project started, the Bardsly's trust was more than rewarded. While removing the old kitchen cabinets, a five-hundred dollar bill fell to the floor. Monte's crew is as fine and reputable as their employer. Without hesitation, they returned the money to the rightful owner.
The Bardly's son, Nathan, also has great praise for the Bullock crew. Of these men, he made great friends. Nathan still speaks highly of Jose for his willingness to befriend the young boy.
In Monte's recommendation, Unique Wood Products was selected to manufacture and install the kitchen woodwork. Jim and Shelli feel strongly that the Unique crew are craftsmen of the highest caliber. They simply were not satisfied until the Bardsly's satisfaction was one-hundred percent.
Jim, Shelli, and Nathan are thrilled with the final result. Without reservation, they strongly recommend the Bullock and Unique team with absolute confidence.

Pavilion by the River

From time to time, a builder is privileged to take part in a truly unique project. A recent project on the Portneuf River in Pocatello, Idaho is a true standout.

The clear and cold waters of the river flow lazily through ancient elms and cottonwoods. Ripples swirl in and around the crumbling remains of an abandoned fish hatchery. They rush past a derelict water wheel and cascade to crystal pools below.

It was here that a lucky few were able to reach beyond the traditional, typical, and often mundane experiences of day to day construction and allow creativity to flow without limitation.

The pavilion sits at the crest of a hill where it overlooks a small water wheel and a deep and perfectly clear pool. From the ground up, the project speaks of a dedication to old world craftsmanship.

The project leader was Monte Bullock of Pocatello. He brought together a crew that is capable of meeting his high standards of rock solid construction, attention to detail and enduring beauty.

The concrete work was completed by Dykman Construction of Pocatello. Intricate patterns, textures, and colors were skillfully created through precise workmanship and the expert application of stain and glaze. The final result accurately simulates stonework of the ancient artisans.

Slate work on the wall behind the barbeque was done by Monte's brothers, Bart and Phil Bullock.

Lee Pierson and his crew at Unique Wood Products of Pocatello, really came through with authentic barn wood faces and exterior grade case work. Barn wood represents specific challenges that can result in disaster. However, in the hands of a true woodworker, it adds elegance and beauty to this rustic setting. The finished project combines modern functionality with aged beauty that compliments the pavilion's riverside location.

The balance of the project was completed by Monte's capable crew.

The enduring beauty of the finished project will no doubt stand as a testament of the uncompromising quality of a few true craftsmen.
